Shannon Orr is a massage therapist based in Sun Valley, Idaho who brings her diverse life experiences to her practice. Shannon’s whole body work is multi-faceted. Injury, trauma, childbirth and stress, all take their toll on soft tissue. She understands that the key to identifying and unlocking physical and emotional trauma will also ultimately allow the body to heal and find balance. Shannon’s own specific intuitive touch and continuous education in physiotherapy help her to open the door to the body’s innate ability to heal.

Shannon has specialized in pre-natal massage work since 1998, and has developed and copyrighted her own pre-natal protocol. Focusing on this work has allowed her to travel as a global trainer for COMO Hotels and Resorts, a luxury line of hotels in exotic locales around the world

LABOR SUPPORT
For centuries midwives have had labor assistants, or Doulas, to help care for the well-being of their patients while in labor. Doulas also prove beneficial to the mothers’ partners, helping them to navigate the physical part of the birthing journey. In the hospital, birthing center, or at home, an advocate for the labor and birth plan can help reduce stress, medical intervention and lend itself to a more positive labor experience.
